Simple, honest terms

Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Wisp website, application, model library, downloads, and optional support links.

Effective August 6, 2026
01

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Wisp, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the Wisp End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use Wisp.

02

What Wisp provides

Wisp is a macOS utility that uses a locally installed language model to translate selected text into a chosen output language and tone. Features, model compatibility, and supported applications may change as macOS, third-party applications, and model packages evolve.

03

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing translations before relying on or sending them. You must use Wisp lawfully and must not use it to infringe rights, distribute harmful content, bypass security controls, or process text you are not authorized to access.

Wisp is a writing utility and is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other specialist advice.

04

Local models and third parties

Local models are supplied by third parties and may have separate licenses, acceptable-use terms, limitations, and attribution requirements. You are responsible for complying with the terms that apply to the model you choose. Fuse Labs does not control model training data or guarantee any model’s output.

05

Downloads and updates

Wisp may check for application and model updates when connected to the internet. We may modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue features, downloads, or model listings when necessary for compatibility, safety, licensing, or maintenance.

06

Optional donations

Donations are voluntary contributions that support Wisp development. They do not purchase ownership, guaranteed features, service levels, or future support. All donations are final and non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

07

Intellectual property

Wisp, its website, branding, interface, documentation, and original software are owned by Fuse Labs or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. You retain any rights you hold in the text you process with Wisp.

08

Disclaimers

Wisp is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fuse Labs disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement. Translation output may contain errors or unintended wording.

09

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fuse Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or decisions made using Wisp output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10

Termination and governing law

You may stop using Wisp at any time. We may restrict access to downloads or services if these terms are violated or if necessary to protect users, Fuse Labs, or third parties.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Wisp evolves. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent through the Fuse Labs support page.
